Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) provides assistance with rent arrears, prospective rent, and utility arrears to help eligible households avoid eviction and maintain housing stability. It offers up to 12 months of rent arrears, 3 months of prospective rent, and utility arrears for electricity or gas. Households are eligible if gross household income is at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), at least one household member received unemployment benefits or experienced a reduction in income/increased expenses due to COVID-19, and the household is at risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Landlords can apply on behalf of their tenants with the tenant's consent.
