Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant Program (VTAG)
The Tuition Assistance Grant Program (VTAG), established in 1972, assists Virginia residents attending accredited private, nonprofit colleges and universities in Virginia for non-religious training or theological education. Applicants must be Virginia residents, enrolled full-time, pursuing an eligible degree (health-related professional programs for graduate students), and comply with Selective Service requirements. Awards for 2025-26 vary by undergraduate/graduate status and other factors, with a teacher bonus of $250/semester available. Application must be submitted by September 15 (or December 1 if funds available) to the institution's Financial Aid Office.
