Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation for families and individuals with income of $69,000 or less, as well as persons with disabilities and limited English-speaking taxpayers. Services are provided by IRS-certified University of Richmond students at a tax prep site in downtown Richmond at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Appointments are highly recommended from February 4 – April 15, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 3:30–7 p.m.; Fridays, 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m. There is also an on-campus tax clinic for eligible University of Richmond faculty, staff, and students.
