Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP)

The Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP), formerly known as Section 8, is the federal government's program for assisting very low-income families, seniors, and persons with disabilities to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. The program provides housing subsidies on behalf of participants to their landlords. The application period starts April 1, 2026, at 9:00 AM and ends April 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
