State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF)
The Government of India supplements the effort of the State Government by providing assistance for relief of immediate nature through two ways (i) State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and (ii) National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF). SDRF has been constituted in each State under Section 48 (1) (a) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. The Central Government contributes 75% of the SDRF allocation for general category States and UTs and 90% for special category States (earlier referred to as Hilly States, North-Eastern States and J&K).
