How can my community group sponsor a refugee in the U.S.?
The IRC is looking for community groups to become co-sponsors or community partners to support refugee families arriving in the U.S. Co-sponsors are groups within 100 miles of an IRC office that provide financial, in-kind, and service contributions under IRC oversight. Community partners are groups further than 100 miles from an IRC office. These groups help with securing housing, providing basic needs, welcoming families, assisting with employment, English learning, and social support. Community sponsors must be an established organization, not individuals or informal groups.
