Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program provides tenant-based subsidies for rents paid by low-income households based upon their income. This program helps eligible low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Assistance comes in the form of a housing subsidy payment made to the landlord on behalf of the participant.
