INN Fiscal Sponsorship

INN can serve as your fiscal sponsor — giving donors a way to make tax-deductible contributions to support your mission while you get up and running or await 501(c)(3) status. To be eligible for INN fiscal sponsorship, organizations must: * Be a journalistic enterprise that produces original content for the public good. * Be a nonprofit organization. * Operate under a similar mission to that of INN (i.e. to support nonprofit news for the public good). * Agree to INN fiscal sponsorship terms and policies. * Not exceed a fiscal sponsorship total revenue of $500,000 for a fiscal year (we will help you transition to your own 501(c)(3) status once you've hit this threshold). * Be U.S.-based (or serve the U.S. community, we've sponsored organizations whose journalists are outside the United States, but who operate under laws of the United States, serve U.S. communities and whose donors are U.S. individuals or organizations). As of January 2022, INN charges a 7% administrative fee for fiscal sponsorship agreements. It will provide the following services to its fiscally sponsored projects:
